I've never heard of this happening, but I use a free cloud service that permits 1TB outright, up to 3TB free but conditionally, and another 1TB paid with extra perks. Never had a problem with an extra few TB in my back pocket, Free to DM further

I mean, the user ID never changes if you can get that instead, and if you're friends with a person at least, VRCX will notify you of Display Name changes
