Yea check all of your facial animations, record the ones missing it may be forcing the blendshapes you're using to zero hence returning the face back to default

Finally got around to trying this out, much thanks. Seems that the SPS sockets are buried all throughout the armature

@kittyyyy ofc, also to add: take a look at d4rk's optimizer for a really well made tool that uses custom material trickery among a lot of other methods to optimize even the heaviest avatars

Its a shame I couldn't get the other one to work out and see why it wouldn't work for me, but nonetheless the new one works and I'm very happy about that
