I am suprised people even spend money on gumroad models. The best avatars to get are booth bases which enjoy greater popularity. Models like for example Shinano not only are wonderfully crafted but also can be fitted with a large arrangement of clothing which you simply can't do without advanced blender knowledge with gumroad models because creators there make it difficult to modify anything without spending ludicrous amounts of money for often unoptimized assets too.
Whenever I want to test something I always get it here first. If I enjoy the work and it's easy enough to modify in unity I also consider buying it after. I want to support creators who in my eyes deserve it for their great work but I love the capability of testing it first in detail before losing my money on bad quality.
