Figured it out. you need to edit the Menu/Parameter with a text editor and change the m_Script fileID and guid of the working script. Just needs a lot of copy and pasting.

I was looking for answers myself, but alas, it seems this is the way to go... Which may be an issue for me because the model I have on hand seems to have been using gizmos and custom scripting to get their animations. Which there are a lot. I might have to learn something rather complex...
