So I've been trying to figure out how to remove the 22 or so extra material slots on one of the avatars I got from the ripper store, but everything I've tried doesn't seem to work. And I'd kinda like to Have the it be quest compatible.

Ripped avatars are NOT editable. You're done there and ripped avatars have a PC-only asset if the creator made it pc only or if the creator made the avatar pc/quest, it has a PC and quest asset.

you can export mesh as the fbx file
Window > Package Manager > Search for FBX Exporter, install it > Place .asset mesh to Hierarchy > click RMB > Export to FBX... (set export format to Binary) > Export

edit exported fbx file in blender as you wish

THE ONLY PROBLEM FBX Exporter CONVERT FILE WITHOUT SKELETON so it's useless in most cases
