Help with Unity ripping asset from one world project to another world project
-
Hello!
Im hoping someone can answer this for me. If there is a world asset from a world like Luminous Hotel which contains quickbrown design studios stuff like Lura's Refrigerator, or the working microwave etc. If I make a Unity world project and import Luminous Hotel and I want to take the refrigerator and microwave from that project and put those 2 items into my own separate world Unity Project how would I go about taking world assets from one world and porting them to another Unity world project?

you gotta decompile and fix some of the udon script for that object before you move it to the other world, same with the animation and the controller, if you just took the model, animation and the animator, it will not work unless you know how to make it intractable and working like the original
unless if you look around for the world assets as the microwave and refrigerator, you can try to slap those texture of theirs into the assets you obtained

@Reym I actually apparently got it to work by just highlighting all the stuff in the assets folder and exporting them specifically + the shader that belonged with it..but of course I have the actual world prefab for this. i guess if i want to import stuff from a ripped world that doesnt contain the asset folder for the item itll be more difficult huh? of course i havent checked it in vr yet, it just looks good in unity so far.

@sweetcandytoxin the ripped one will contain the assets folder itself but it will have bunch of broken stuff you need to fix and the ripped world does not contain the prefab of the said assets, which mean you gotta build it your own from the ripped world
you gotta find the material, texture, animation if it has one, the animator, shader, and etc, if they are just a still object, non intractable just get the model and the texture and material
