Lf: Anyone that can convert this Octoling blender model into a vrc avi
-
let us know if its ready, most of us may be considering doing the finishing touches
-
v1.3.2:
Version 1.3.2 features a Quest-compatible version.
Uses Poiyomi 9.2.79I've already setup some basic controllers, toggles, and hue shift. I've also gone ahead and made some new shapekeys for creating custom expressions and an alternate skin color.
After being asked to convert it by @bonemone, I initially planned to only have minimal functionality on VRChat, but I got bored, so I've gone ahead and done some extra work on it.
I probably won't be doing any more work on it as I have my own projects. -
i'll deffinutly add this in my Splatoon Avi List and give credit

I probably won't be doing any more work on it as I have my own projects.The blendshape states under for the eyelids got messed up when I reimported the model after doing the new shapekeys, I've edited my download link with the fixed version, if anyone has the older version with the issue, it's an easy fix, just set these parameters to the correct blendshapes in the "VRC Avatar Descriptor":

ya got it

@TheDarkLord
I didn't make any, nor did I make any expression animations, but here:
Use the latest version provided in this message.I quickly added some rudimentary physbones to the hair, breasts, and butt. Refinements will need to be made to the weight paint/physbone parameters to achieve realistic deformations.
I will not work on this anymore, cause this model was a headache to work with.
If there are any issues and/or if anyone wants edits made, I encourage anyone else to fulfill them.
I say this, and then do a Quest update XD -
just a question when trying to port over to VRC quest shader -> VRCHAT/MOBLIE/STANDARD LITE the textures turn black would anyone know the problem?
-
have you tried the Toon Standered?
-
yea I've been cycling though textures to see if anything works but nothing that's quest compatible works

here's just a visual with what's going on

@Honey_Bunny
Color attributes cause issues with VRChat's quest shaders, you'll need to delete the data in Blender from all meshes.Despite what I said previously about not working on this anymore, I felt making the fix and remaking some materials wasn't a big deal. While the quest version isn't optimized for the platform, I was able to upload it successfully.

not to worry got it all figured out and fixed thanks for making it vrc compatible in the first place!
