gimmick to move around?

I just saw someone uses a rather cool gimmick, he left behind his avatar system capsule in one spot, but the mesh, camera and audio source when he talks also moves along with the actual avatar mesh. Cool thing is, he can grab onto world mesh to move around, climbing and such yet the avatar capsule still stays in place
I'm not talking about the space drag from ovr advanced settings since this is still tied with where your avatar capsule generally are.
I'd like to know what's the name of this gimmick, it seems so cool to know, please help?
