Can't Rip Anymore?

Is anyone else unable to rip anymore? The data file for avatars is no longer in the cache folder for me. Was it moved somewhere else?

My friends somehow did that, I don't really good at ripping so asking my friends to do it.

@Anne_Wiz Could you ask them where they moved the data files to? This just changed when the newest update to vrc was pushed. Had no problem with the last.

@Anne_Wiz Never mind, I think it just bugged out because I just checked and the data files are there once I restarted vrc. Weird.

@LambPrince There's still a way to rip? Could you DM me how? I'm trying to get an avatar that a creator is putting a $55 paywall in front of. (It's just an edit).

@Yummers the only way without jeopardizing your account and/or paying money is cache ripping. you have to see the avatar in-game and take the data for it from your files. you use assetripper and facs utilities on those data files.

@Yummers find the cache-windowsplayer folder and figure out which string of numbers and letters is the avatar you want, open that up, take the __data file, put that into assetripper. then you can import what it spits at you into unity.
