I did a little research about Gonso, and honestly, how is this allowed? It seems terrible, even if you weren’t trying to leak a model.

But if I got this right...

IT LOGS YOUR IP ADDRESS, YOUR VRCHAT USERNAME (even if you change it, I think), YOUR DISCORD ID, YOUR HARDWARE ID, AND YOU NEED A LICENSE KEY.

And on top of that, you can barely make REAL edits to the model. You can only do basic Unity stuff like changing textures, removing/adding clothing items, and making other little changes.

So what's the point of buying an avatar that has "Gonso" on it?

It seems like a info risk- and madly against TOS

I'm not really up to date with gonso but my god does it seem terrifying. It's like how nintendo is making the game keys, but not giving you the actual game 😭

      Reputation is appreciated :]

@freshvoice85 it feels like to me they turned vrchat avatars into a NFT

        (edit)

It really feels like NFT's to because "Gonso" Made avatars are kinda poorly made or just suck-

I wanna make a follow up comment this is More of a Question but..

What if you already uploaded the avatar to your account then you try to mess with it- and the brick your FBX-

Do they report your Vrchat account?? and get you banned- Do they just let you have it-

Do these avatars Come Pre-added with Anti Ripping Assets??

If not Could people just Rip the avatars So they don't have to deal with Gonso...

@DaBigCheese normally what i've seen its human avatars.. and they description saying they use gonso so if your buying and leaking human avatars or if the asset or furry avatar has gonso's in the description just don't buy it

In my opinion this is just more spyware-like crap that keeps watching on you. Content creators actually pay extra for this service and it’s not free as it seems, in other words, they first send the original file and then they patch it. I really hope this garbage eventually disappears from the market or just goes bust
