VRmodels unsafe & down?

It's unfortunate, I liked to use the site along with this site to see whats new. I do agree the moderators on the VRModels site are... unhinged at times, especially with their labelling, but it will be a massive shame to see the site be shut down as I've used that site for 5+ years now.
I hope they're able to bring it back online, although there's definitely a lesson to be learnt here - ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR SHIT (and if you are, back it up more frequently!) If they can't bring it back, then it was a good run whilst it lasted.

@janesunglasses you see heres why i despise VRM people click on post they dont like and Spam the coment section talking shit. instead of moving on. and right here is a prime example brand new user registered here clearly from vrm already saying stuff arte gross. do you think those items arent here? ofcourse they are. All of em. where do you think things are shared before they hit vrm? here. because we share download what we want and like say thanks and move on. we dont click on post we dont like and start a hate war or kink shaming like ew whos the target audience ew whats this for ew people gross ewew like everyone in vrm act like children. so belive me pikachu you aint safe here either.

For all the vrm refugees, if you want the simplicity of vrm back heres what you do: Go to jinxxy, use it to find avatars you like similar to vrm, 90% of the time its leaked on here, so use jinxxy as ur serach engine and use this as ur pirate bay

@KingHastur the only issue with that is it ISNT 90% of the time, if i go on vrm i can see what avis HAVE been leaked but on here theres actually a 90% chance ill find someone who actually made a post for it but it hasnt been leaked yet (NOT HATING!!) but that method is kinda exactly what i do now... miss vrm

@mochii15 yeah kind of have to agree. i love the work that this sites mods do and same goes for the community but vrm even if it's community sucked (I always found the people having a flame war in the comments annoying too especially if special instructions had been left in the comments) it was nice knowing almost everything on the site worked with only extremely rare broken unitypackages being the exception. along with that there were a good hand full of avatars that as of current aren't on ripper store with super new avatars and avatar accessory's being big ones. my hope is that if vrm really is gone for good we get the same people who uploaded new avatars on the spot and weird or niche accessories that used to get uploaded almost exclusively on there uploading over here, but that isn't a guarantee and that does kind of suck.

anyone know any sites that were like vrm... i loved finding avis there, it was easy and i found new creators while looking around. every other one ive seen is just booth bullshit or random things. and ngl, looking through ripperstore is tedious and its all mostly furry or booth things on here too.

Honestly VRModels didn't seem like much of a community to me, but they did seem to have avatars that this site didn't most of the time. They also had a better site when you think about the people using it for browsing avatars.
But there's a community here, and if you just use jinxy or nexxy which I haven't heard about till now but looks pretty damn good, you can find avatars better then either of them and make a post. -
Eugh yeah I've had some issues with VRModels staff as well ^^' A few years ago my boyfriend got some avatars off there, and coincidentally a virus popped up on his computer. He had only downloaded stuff from the site that day, so he said "hey I think there's something up with these files." And instead of "Yeah, we'll take a look." he basically got a "nuh uh, it's your own fault" AND THEY BANNED HIM! Like jeez, we're just trying to keep the community safe???

Got banned from commenting for pointing out the files for an older avatar were replaced with two random half built avatars in the unity package. Like as if somebody opened the unity package and started messing about with random projects, saved and uploaded that as the original.

@villianrae VR models worked if you wanted something that wasn't too specific, this site is better if you want something specific like a certain blender model or avatar
The closest thing to VRM rn is pawchive, just type on the search bar "VR model" or "VRC" and then you start checking for a model that you like
