rough typed out guide that worked for me
get novabeast 1.2 and import it into your project
goto the novabeast.fbx file in file explorer and put it into the novamawpatcher folder
run the !NovaBeastPatcher.bat file
should generate a new file called novabeast_maw.fbx in the same folder
delete the old/temp novabeast.maw.fbx in the novamaw folder in unity and replace it with the new generated one
open the novamaw prefab for face tracking/no ft depending on which vers -
FULL TYPED OUT GUIDE!! EASY AS HECK!!!(sorta)
BIG thank you to Sparrow, who commented the baselines for which I will now expand upon.
Also a note, I have a ready-to-go unitypackage for those who just want a dang working avatar (You must already have the NovaBeast base assets+Poiyomi Toon already in the project for it to work properly):
A. (Unfortunately, I haven't typed out this process while actually going through it so there will be a medium chance of my guide not being fully comprehensive. I apologize sincerely for that, and want to note nothing you do with my guide should break ANYTHING if followed as written)- Import Novabeast Package (base novabeast)
- Import NovaMaw unitypackage
- In File Explorer, go to the project files and copy the Novabeast.fbx file
- Go to the V2 Patcher, extract and go into the main hub with all the random files. PASTE the Novabeast.fbx file in there and then look for (!NovaBeastPatcher), which is a .bat or Windows Batch File and run it (Note: Don't touch the .meta file of it, I don't know what those are but they aren't the right ones)
- It will run a script, and there will be a new file called NovaBeastMaw.fbx or something very similar (Kinda forgot it) in that same big hub area - CUT AND PASTE back into the unity project through File Explorer, into the NovaMaw fbx folder preferably.
- You SHOULD be good from there, just go to the prefabs in NovaMaw and place them down.
- There will be scripts missing from the prefab, such as an animator and anchor override fix, so make sure to match those up with the standard novabeast (look at the same place where the Pipeline Manager is for avatar codes, for those who don't understand fully)
With that said, that is everything. Lengthy, I know, but it gives a pretty in-depth process. As stated before, this is basically from scratch. You can really just download the package above if you don't want to do all this but yknow, people need to know how I got it in the first place. ENJOY!!<3
(Edited to fix a grammar mistake :3) -
Went ahead and grabbed the mesh from the patcher and chucked it in blender to remove most of the stuff and then set it up with vrcfury and stuff so it's basically drag and drop, it's just the mouth maw and uses the nova mouth alpha mask to hide it out and blendshape link to work with vrcft, plz lmk what yall think :3
took me like 4 hours to set up

@Fayfay2546 Hii, sorry for bothering, I installed your package and did everything, everything seems to work smoothly except for when I speak, when I speak in vrchat my default mouth moves but the realistic maw doesn't, it stands still, the blendshapes are the same (visemes) but I still can't figure out how to make it work.. could you help me out?
