Here's some stuff I found helpful.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qyrz4JoMP28&t=600s (Shape Keys/Visemes)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtJ1Dbv-XUA (Shape Keys)There's a lot of options out there for auto-rigging as well. Adobe's Mixamo (free), Reallusion's AccuRIG (free) and a Blender plugin called Auto Rig Pro (paid). One thing to note is that AccuRIG I think breaks all existing shape keys after the process, which can be problematic for certain ports. Auto-rigging also isn't perfect, so you're likely gonna need to learn some basic weight painting anyways to fix some of the quirks of automation, but automation can get you like 85% of the way there.
I also started doing this stuff relatively recently, so there's a whole host of things I probably don't know. One thing I found really helpful is to look at models that are already rigged. It's pretty helpful to see how bones are generally laid out and which bones have influence over which areas of the mesh.
