How does this site work

For some reason I feel as if I’m not able to understand some of the things on this site. DMs, rip requests, etc. I try asking around and I’m basically nonexistent, and idk if it’s just because of me being me or just some hidden rule I’m breaking constantly,
I’m basically just asking how everything works and how I should be using it so that I hopefully can advance more in this site with others.

Whatcha confused about more specifically?
Some people here are just ignorant, unknowing, uneducated.
Some people don't care enough to interact or help others, they're here just for ripping assets.
And there are some people who do go the extra effort to help.
The first ones you don't really ever see, so it's mostly nr. 2 and nr.3, with nr. 2 as the majority.DMs require a certain amount of rep to be had between parties (I believe it's a minimum of 5 rep?). You can start DMs with a person by going to their profile.
Rip requests are just like any other kind of request, but a lot more difficult (thanks to the recent-ish security updates vrchat introduced, the anti-ripping system, aka the asset encryption). You can read up on this a bit more here

but the main thing now is are there like chat groups i can join already or are they just dms that only start- i am making no fuckin sense rn hold on uhhhh
basically, i heard around that there are groupchats in ripperforums involving the dm system. my thought was how could i find one to hopefully get my LF and rip/buy requests more seen, all while not looking like a whiny bitch or being fully invisible...if that makes sense

@Epikboi12345 LFs and requests are hit n miss, really. All you can do is pray that the asset garners enough attention for people to buy/share. To bring more attention to your LFs, you can "bump" the post so it appears more active and goes "to the top". Though, don't do it like certain people who "bump" every 15-30 mins, that's just annoying than anything. I'm sure you've seen the kind of "bumping" I'm mentioning in some other posts.
As for group chats, I'm not in any myself so cannot provide any comment regarding those.
