Could be that the descriptor is setting them to certain values by default, there's a high chance something is forcing these values along those lines, you'd just need to find where the value it keeps changing to matches where the parameter is actively defined.

Affinity is another good free software option. I'd put the textures side by side and use adjustment layers on one until you can get the colors to blend.

the only blender thing is keeping frenni's bone armature ON the coat when removed from frenni on blender, without it the coat of course wont have bones to connect

Alright, well for anyone else with this problem (and it may seem fairly obvious) it breaks the write defaults when using VRCfury on the quest version. So.

You can't do this in unity but you can put your packages into a unity package extractor: https://peraperavrc.github.io/package-extractor/ and download the fbx's from there, put them into Blender to have all the fbxs on one armature and then export that as an fbx to put back into unity. But I'm not sure why you would really want to as Booth assets are extremely user friendly and mostly made to be dragged and dropped.
