@stingraey its for koikatsu (another game) but people have managed to get models/it's assets to re-create the models as a whole out as its a unity based game, i myself find it too troubling to get things out of it due to how it's texture and rbg coloring system is done

How to animate bones without them breaking?@bdawg
while in the animation tab they list the changes done and you can see a separated set of motions you've done for the bone where it will show something kind of like this
if theres a position change you could easily delete it without issues if you only meant a rotational animation to occur, though im not too sure if thats your issue anymore if the 'is animated' is toggled on, the only other thing id say is to make sure that the movement and stuff is going into the right section of the avatar parameters. with another model i made my wings on the fx layer as on only without any stopping ones as an bool in mine, you could try thatmy set up looks like this for that one

How to animate bones without them breaking?im not 100% for certain but a lot of people bake dummy bones/fake bones before the actual weighted item itself, though if you cannot do that i would say perhaps to look at the animation tab and make sure the position itself isn't being tampered with but only rotation. another thing is also to make sure the physbone settings have enabled "Is Animated" towards the bottom of it all.
its been a hot minute since i've actually tinkered into idle animations like that as much due to the newer ways of doing things is kinda confusing to me still :' )

this has everything i got with the download at the time, texture files + the unity package was all i got myself -
helppbest thing you can do is delete the SDK and reinstall with a diff ID/reupload avatar to see if it can change status, it's happened to a few of my models for no real good reason but i found reimporting the SDK seems to work

is there any way to rip unity project from public avatars?Unfortunately (and somehow also fortunate) not in an ideal easy for learning unity/borderline basic users.
The best you can get is the .file/vrca file and run it through AssetStudio (unity asset viewer that can export particular unity game things) or use something like SARS. theres a brief guide already out on some of the current/old/etc if you keyword search around on here. though I only recommend lookin into it if you've got the patience for the steps needed and any hiccups that can roll around like saves being bricked or corrupted from a misc script oversaving.
note you will have to have general knowledge on unity and blender if you plan to edit things and it in chance all breaking on import. this video is one that I've passed over and was helpful in everything I needed to figure out stuff with on recovering some of my old lost project models.
