Hip bone missing in blender when using ripped models
-
After converting the ripped prefab into an fbx, if I try to import the fbx into blender it will not import the "Hips" bone and the bone will be missing entirely, the hips bone is clearly visible in unity before it is placed in blender though. Is there a workaround for this?

Bump, I know it's an old post but I'm having the exact same issue and nothing I've tried seems to fix it.
I've tried checking the "Preserve Hierarchy" box in Unity, exporting the prefab to FBX various different ways, using different FBX importers in Blender and none of it works. -
What I do to fix this is go to armature edit mode, add a bone and place/size it to where hips is, and reparent the bones that belong on hips and rename it to "hips" or whatever the name of the base's bodygroup has (sometimes lower case, sometimes capital, depends). I'm guessing blender treats the original Hips as the armature container and kind of break it, but this seems to work for me.
