should i upload files i covert to quest?
-
hi, quest user here, and i dont post often so im sorry if this is the wrong tag. i've converted hundreds of avis to quest even if the creators said it was "pc only", and im wondering if anyone would be interested to get a drive of them or have any suggestions to see if i can covert them?
(i wont be uploading avis with missing assets unless otherwise asked. if i go through with uploading them for the public, you can have suggestions/ask if i've already converted a few. IF IM NOT CONFORTABLE DOING A JOB NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU TRY YOU WONT CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE)
example of my work that i did TODAY for quest. no i didnt make the avi, its from cryptia:

many people use VRCQuesttools to add in the Creator Companion, has a lot of options for quest such as Toon lit, Toon Standered, and Mat lit
i'd recommend trying that asset tool for converting PC shaders to Toon Standered if you wanna be creative and such on the quest side

@Letecus Oh god, no. Don't use the automatic conversion it does. I think OP uses QuestTools though, I've had a previous interaction with them.
@kh4m4ri i used to! not anymore tho, the asset SUCKS and i hate it. it causes so many errors, crashes, and material fuck ups. i only use it to find physbones but i REFUSE to convert anything using that again. everything is done by me now, texture crunching, material fixing, and toggle fixing too. im still working on how to do expressions, i cant find anything to help with it that actually works

@Letecus i only asked cause vrcquesttools kinda sucks, especially if your looking at ripped avis. vrcquesttools hasnt been able to fix MANY avis lately (like the chiku one in my post) i only use it to find physbones i dont need for quest. everything else is done by me. why? because it looks better in my opinion. people can use vrcquest tools if they want, and its not like i was gonna force people to pay. i was js gonna upload files to a drive on google or mega, and update it whenever i coverted a new avi myself or fixed an avi myself. ofc it would include the og files and pc files too lol

@kh4m4ri EXACTLY!!! it gives SO many more oportunities than vrcquestconverter. and with the new quest compatible shaders, i dont need standard lite anymore cause i already know what im doing and its an easy replicate of poiyomi but for quest :3
