Stylized Interactive Menu (SAO)

Hello! I recently grabbed the 2.0.3 version of Stylized Interactive Menu by Nyaplus:
I've tinkered around with it quite a bit and I've gotten it onto an avi and whatnot, functioning. But at this point I'd like to learn how to make the buttons in the menu actually DO something. I've tried poking around the files quite a bit and I just can't seem to figure out where I need to add or change something. I believe based on the animations provided and the way the files are set up, I should be able to use the menu in this way, especially because the creator also has this system:

Which demonstrates using said menu to toggle the parts of the pvp system.
Any advice on where to start looking and how to start doing this sorta thing would be greatly appreciated! I assume it's a lot of manual work, which I'm willing to do to get stuff set up for my own avi, I just have run out of ways to approach the problem.
