yeah getting those 4 notif's for each group over and over again is annoying.

As @eiron said, every time you receive an upvote or are mentioned in a post, you will receive a notification that includes notification of the groups you have been added to. I'm not sure why it works this way but you can disable notifications in settings

@pompon @eiron @IanMoone Apparently they'll be working on a fix but till then you'll just get a notification every time your Reputation changes.
