Assistance with fixing worlds converted from a VRCW file
-
Hey! I’m trying to get 2 VRChat worlds working again that were ripped from a VRCW file, but I’ve hit a wall with a few issues in Unity.
The assets and textures are present, but I’m dealing with:
- Missing/broken shaders on some materials
- Incorrect/broken lighting
- A few other material/rendering issues
I’ve already tried reimporting the assets and checking the Unity Console, but I’m running out of things to try.
Would anyone be willing to take a look and help get the projects functioning properly? Ideally, I’d like the repaired Unity projects/packages returned with the required shader/dependency assets included so that I can open it without having to hunt down and reinstall everything manually.
All help is appreciated!

Self-bump, heard FACS is supposed to be helpful here, would like instructions on how to use it

After weeks of hearing about hotswapping vrcw files, I bring you all the solution
It's a very simple unity plugin that allows you to hotswap vrcw files into worlds you can upload (but not edit).
Go check it out!
