For fixing ripped avatars, I recommend using this tool:

Everything can be done entirely within Unity, and you can even see which shader was originally used on each material, making the whole process extremely convenient.

Just curious since I wanna learn how to get VRCAs; it's fine if it's not something to be shared. What do you usually use to get the files using just the avatar's ID?

@Aftermath personally I use a lifetime client called Abyss and get the files from VRChat directly, but you can also use vrcdatapacks that allows you to download public avatars, Cachy's Discord server that uses bots to store avatars they find in lobbies or Avatar Recovery's Donator VRCA storage for 5$/month that did the same thing but on a bigger level.

@88 so right now Abyss is in hot water for taking screenshots of people's pc on inject and scanning the vrchat folder for any other client so I wouldn't recommend it for now, but if you are on Linux or if you don't care about these stuff then here's the explaination:
!captcha will pull up a "discord id verification" where you just put your discord id.
!captcha again will pull up a captcha, the way to read it is only the fully opaque characters like so:

This one would be JWFLY.
Then you go to the #purchase-panel channel and you can request it here.

@88 Found this list, I would recommend Hex, Hexed and Vampware because I know the devs have been there for a while and I wound NOT recommend Abyss and MekaMod for the owners admitting that they had bad things inside their past/current clients.

@GRW_Nomad if you have VRCX, you go to your avatar, and next to the id you can "Copy ID" or "Copy Link".
If you use the VRChat website, just click on the avatar you want and copy the link.
