Vrcfury override my avatar's gestures

Vrcfury automatically overrides my avatar's gestures:
I don't want to use VRCFury gestures, so what do I need to do to fix this?

if your avatar doesnt have a gesture layer, its best to leave it alone as you wont be able to use any gesture controlled things. if it DOES, there should be a vrcfury item under either your main avatar or on a seperate item in the higherarchy.

I can't pet anyone because my avatar's hands look ugly. It would be great if I could change this with custom gestures.
