they seem very cutthroat. im sorry that this happened to you. i hope that this issue gets resolved for you in some way. strawbunny- an avatar maker that uses gonso, uses a plugin to stop people that have been caught by gonso from even buying her avatars. its purely on cozu's discretion to allow you to buy the avatar again but i dont know how it works yet.

this (from a ripperstore thread im not creditting due to laziness) is how some avatar creators are banning people from buying their avatars altogether with Gonso's service
i think that if you did buy this again youd have to connect it to a burner vrchat account, but from what ive heard its best to not to support creators that do this practice
this avatar has not been ripped yet. one attempt has been made to bypass gonso on this avi but it did not work. gonso has been taken off of avatars before.
if i were in this situation, i would wait until it gets ripped, but this could be months.i dont recommend buying it and donating it to ripperstore. it seems like taking gonso off is a delictae process and theres only a few people that can do it appearently? so like youd have to know someone.. or it could go wrong
maybe the avatar can be recreated. maybe it wouldnt be that hard to copybest of luck. its a very cute avatar and i thought itd be pirated sooner.

but there's nothing you can do about this once they "catch you" you're pretty much screwed in like a year? you might be able to do something but I doubt it

@Sythra I tried to upload the avatar but I kept getting an error message so I wasn’t able to. Then I got the error my license key was used. Is there anything I can do about it?
IF your key has been used then I'm not sure what you can do tbh other than contact the creator and hope they're kind enough to grant you a new unused license key. If not, welp you're out of money and might need to risk blacklisting yourself to get your $$ back.

@Sythra Cozu was nice enough to refund me since I didn’t even get a chance of uploading but I have to prove myself to Gonso. Who blocked me and won’t reach out to me. Cozu and their staff pretty much told me there is nothing that can be done on their end and said Gonso has never done this before. They don’t find it odd or anything they just don’t know what to do. I can’t prove myself to someone who won’t talk to me unfortunately.

Update! Was just banned from Cozu’s server and told to do better! They did not want to help me with the issues and I will not be furthering the issue with this avatar. They said the reason for the ban was I was on this ripper site but yet still no reason for why I was blacklisted so that’s okay! I knew it would probably be an issue posting asking for help in figuring out how to contact Gonso or what to do next but I had no other options! I will not be supporting Cozu again (ofc banned lmao) especially since they offered no help! Terrible community it’s a shame she seemed so nice! I’ll stick to free avatars especially since I don’t get on VRChat more than once every other month!

i dont think that gonso is necessarily doing anything bad by reacting this way. BUT* watching this has left me confused. i also believe that you have done nothing wrong.

@kitties9999 yes! I wish I could have shared the conversation before being banned! They told me “Seems Gonso was right”. But like - he wasn’t.
Honestly this is the only site I see anyone mentioning Gonsolicense and I’m such a newbie I didn’t even know people “ripped” avatars. But they said anything I say is useless since I was on this site. Yet wouldn’t help me so… I don’t know I tried everything. I mentioned on my post purchasing the avatar again which was true! But yall informed me it’s a waste! So thank yall! And I heard the wait a year.. but I didn’t do anything and the dude still wouldn’t talk to me sooo.. I don’t think he is going to in a year lol.. he blocked me so I have no way TO contact him. -

@kitties9999 I understand his system probably catches TONS of people. However I know I did not do anything wrong. And the way he avoided me and blacklisted me without reason. It seems so odd. I was more or less curious if anyone else had issues. Or if I am just that UNLUCKY.

Depending on your country, Gonzo is violating consumer protection laws, especially if there's no refund or support option.
So basically you can always reach out to Gumroad/Payhip and get it handled

I only ever really supported Cozu because her work was really good and great quality. I won’t be support Cozu anymore even though I’m literally at fault for this lmao
But I don’t think gonso is looking on this site pretty sure they having close to ips? Or whatever that tracks shit idk I’m not rlly educated on gonso

Which means while he doesn't clearly state it in his TOS he does partly use your information to gain access to weither you've visted these sites or not. Even looking up the site alone without even clicking it can get your license flagged.
Cozu also does not do refunds if you've been flagged for these due to "leaking" related stuff.

This only proves that, if your accusation is true, the creator is a cynical egoist. Do you have any evidence to support your claim?

@leiieieh i dont know about gonso but payhip is known for having an anti leak method like that. so the file that you download from payhip has hidden data (called 'metadata') that shows who bought it. this is how leakers are found, because when they share the file from payhip, the avatar creator can download the file and see who leaked it because its tagged with who bought it. this is why if you plan on leak then you should avoid giving payhip private information, or at least dont link it to your vrchat /discord username. other platforms like gumrd/jinxy dont do this, only payhip from what i know. its also possible that payhip shares other information with the avatar creator that could be linked to the leaked file so idk how much you can hide your identity to do it without repurcussion.

for now though, i think the only real danger is ip bans or account bans or your avatar liscence being taken away, so its not actually that bad if youre caught..
