Can I put these avatars in blender?

I want to cut off a piece of hair and use it on my purchased model because i really dont wanna spend 50 dollars on a piece of virtual hair that came with an expensive model but anyways can I put that hair in blender and take it out? I saw someone say ripped avis cant go in blender, because theyre in fbx form or something..

Hey, it is indeed possible to retrieve an FBX file from an ripped avatar.
For unity you need FBXExporter, which can be installed through unity, using this you can get the FBX.
For Blender you need Better FBX Importer, this tool however costs a small amount. Using this tool you are able to import the previously generated FBX into blender.
