i need help fixing an fbx update i wanted to do

im trying to change some things on mayosplashes lovander like the hair and a the tassels behind the avatar but everytime i have made the fbx update it breaks like in the picture this is the 7th VCC project bc everytime i do this is perma broken. can i please gets some help ive tried using the unity addon pumpkin to fix it but all it does is make it worse.

just those the hair and the tassel thingys bc i dont like them and want to use other stuff im currently adjusting the size of the physis bones the bets i can but if it breaks im at a complete loss as i have done everything to fix it to my knowledge and guides.

and after fixing teh sizes of the physis bones and test i get the same chaotic result

how does removing a mesh and not touching a single bone break an avatars fbx like how?

you get an update on this? this has been a problem forever and ive never been able to figure out how to edit a mesh without breaking a prefab and i was hoping someone would come in to save the day here

change the export settings to apply scalings > fbx all

i just use the Cat plugin for blender which uses the unity params for Vrchat when exporting the fbx

@Indo1234 ofc its broken if u not duplicate the fbx that u gonna edit on blender

remember to always have a backup if u want to use blender cuz if u replace ur only one fbx with the blender fbx its always gonna be white 100% thats why u always do the blender thingy when u just started makin ur own avatar

for me the fix is if u got broken avatar dont test it or play it on gesture manager just close unity and dont save it go to ur avatar file location and go to temp folder in there u gonna found the prefab backup but if u save / go into play mode ur done fr sure
