how does one get the link for an avatar they wish to rip. I'm new to ripping; I apologize
@GRW_Nomad if you have VRCX, you go to your avatar, and next to the id you can "Copy ID" or "Copy Link".
If you use the VRChat website, just click on the avatar you want and copy the link. -

@VRCAmazing im sorry i should of asked that better. i meant to ask that about an avatar thats not exactly mine or have access to other than seeing it in vrc
@GRW_Nomad well I have to see it then, or you do but with a client, or invite vrcdatapacks's premium bot to the instance you want the avatar from.

@the_goober free clients WILL steal information from you or have a backdoor (just like paid clients but less frequent). You can you @daswdas's ripping cache dll thing but that's about all you can really trust.

@VRCAmazing and just looked at the cache post thing, it seems that the file doesnt exist in the download anymore... :c

not sure if this is the place to ask this, but would you know how to decrypt a cache ripped avatar? does dawsdas' thing take like manual __data decryption or sum -

I didn't manage to make it work on Linux but I've heard that it works very well on Windows.
