Is there a working way to rip avatars currently?

I heard this week that an acquaintance's avatar was ripped. I thought it wasn't possible anymore. I have two avatars that I really want to rip, but every tutorial I find doesn't work because of the encryption.
So I wanted to know what methods people are currently using? -
clients are the easiest way but you wont find any public tutorials anymore
go to this thread and you can just ask someone else to rip it for you if you dont want to rip yourself
