Caught me while I was about to upload something new but here's what should fix your issues.

1. Delete blueprint ID
   

2. Follow what I said -> here <-. It looks like you're trying to change the choker text and just left one of the scripts in the wrong spot

trying to edit the goggles material, all the decal slots are empty in inspector. the cat ear goggle texture seems baked in - in a weird spot. Anyone know where i should look?

If this is the headset you're talking about it looks like you can just drag & drop in the material you want replaced. Assuming you could probably add a toggle to change material if you want to go that route as well.
