How To Convert New Cache Files?

Was trying to rip stuff from my VRC cache files and noticed they now appear as regular "files" and not .VRCA's.
Wondering if anyone else is having a similar experience and what they've done to re-convert the files/unencrypt them.

I think I've heard you can just rename the file to a .vrca
