And also yes I think It's good to show that we don't want to steal, harm, or pursue anyone, but at the same time I just find it weird since It's a ripper store, we basically steal assets you pay for so It's still stealing.

The one week delay is a good idea, but it depends on how you go about it. If someone gets outed as a pred, or awful things (With LEGIT proof, not hear say or out of context pictures) they shouldn't be given the option. If you only hand select, or those who reach out then you are playing favorites and it comes with even more drama. What about creators who don't know this website exists? (Shockingly yes there are a lot) The people who wont pay for it to begin with will wait the week, and those who buy will get it on release. So its not that bad of an idea. Then what about users who are unaware of this rule? Do you plan on filtering everything? I'm curious to see how this one pans out.

I think the 1-week delay is pretty fair, honestly. It gives creators some breathing room and avoids that “everything gets dumped the same day” situation, while still making the files available not long after.

It feels like a reasonable middle ground between respecting smaller creators and keeping the forum useful for everyone. Testing it on a small group first also makes sense, since you can see how it plays out before expanding it.

Overall, I’m in favor of it, very nice 😄

        Blehhhh :P

In my opinion, the 24-hour cooldown for boosting is a bit too long.
waiting a week before posting files is an excellent idea and I fully support it. While the vast majority may disagree with me, we will still get what we want in the end; I see it as a very fair solution for both the creator and us (especially since those who truly love the creator's work will support them regardless of how they get the model).

As for the rule about waiting a week after publication, I think it’s reasonable. It’s not something that will make our lives difficult, and it will also help avoid conflicts with creators. It’s true that many of us resort to ripping precisely because the assets aren’t sold in our country or currency, but avoiding ripping during a short period when avatars are selling the most is mutually beneficial for both sides and is a valid way to show that we don’t want to steal, pursue or harm anyone.

I am by no means opposed to the creation of a code of conduct, and I believe most of us feel the same way, I just ask that a clearly visible and easily accessible section be created on the site with it. There’s no point in creating rules if they’re hidden in posts like this one. Even if these rules remain in place and continue to be reinforced, new people like me keep joining the community, and it’s important that they be clearly visible so that we can be guided naturally.

A quick and necessary note to add to my comment: since this rule applies only to specific avatar creators and not to creators in general, in my point of view it ceases to be something that benefits both sides and becomes a personal advantage.

If this rule is going to be implemented, it should apply to all creators.

I see that this rule has already started to be applied, so it should apply to all creators. https://forum.ripper.store/post/1746046

Overall, I am okay with the idea that there's a curfew on new assets, but it should come with a code of conduct centered on anti-consumer practices (and maybe certain ethical things that everyone realistically should be in agreement with) for creators who ask to be on that list, where breaking that code of conduct rescinds such protections. I don't think anyone wants to extend an olive branch to creators who are cunts to their paying customers, not wanting to reward certain types of conduct is why I came here in the first place.

It should also not result in LF threads being locked or deleted, only replies and posts where people post download links to the assets prior to the curfew ending.

I don't see the idea behind waiting a week to get a file of an avatar just so the creator can get more money, cause honestly It's ripperstore, what good is ripping a file for everyone, and It's still not a good thing anyways so I guess this could take guilt off of it somewhat anyways?. I feel like the idea behind making it so the creator can get more money is a nice idea and a good thing, but what is the point if they still don't want their avatar being ripped in the first place It's still going to make them lose money either way. It's understandable why they may have thought this is a good thing and that's completely okay, but in my opinion I just think it is kind of useless.

@HolyMolay i thought this too, same with avatars from pedophile creators - what if they gain more money off of this update? i feel like this could potentially start killing off ripper forums from being as active, kind of how vrm started dying when they let anyone and everyone report and take down avis

@moomoocow idk i get wanting the creator to make money from the thing they make but i think waiting two weeks is a bit much only because the creator will have the people who will pay regardless if there is a shared on this site and if the creator had a say in it it would feel kinda odd since its RIPPERSTORE i feel like it should not matter if something is shared fast
