Why are avatars getting locked for a week just when they about to release? Why is there favouritism on this website for certain creators? Example this tread just got locked for a week even though the avatar is coming out tomorrow? I remember this happend before as well for another avatar. It got released a day after on vr models but ripper store was still locked (dont remember what avatar this was).
https://forum.ripper.store/topic/99863/gemini-pc-quest-vrcft-by-bambi/77@anombelle There are usually agreements between creators and ripper store, so the creator gets at least some reward for their efforts. What's the point of working on an avatar when it immediately becomes a free asset the moment it releases. Or something among the lines.
If every single avatar got ripped and released for free immediately, it would provide creators very little incentive to keep making avatars and sharing them via stores. -

@Kleiner thats not the point this website is there to rip avatars for free? Pretty sure creators dont want their avatar on this website at all. The issue is why do some creators do get this 7 day time window and some not how is that fair then.
@anombelle To delay the inevitable, to avoid fighting a war that the creators will never win. That's why some creators ask the admins to give some time for some sales to happen. What if the creator relies on the sales to afford rent or food that month? There's all sort of reasons.
If anything, like you said, this website is for ripping avatars, initially started out (as far as I'm aware) as a site for people to share ripped, private avatars. Ripped does not mean an avatar that's on sale. Ripped as in an avatar that's fully private and unobtainable otherwise.Key point being: Some creators do go out of their way to ask for the delay. Those who don't ask, don't get it. Anyways, it's not a totally morally black website. If a creator asks, admins tend to be more lenient for the most prt. Ofcourse, it's all my own understanding, others might provide a different perspective.
Do pardom me cuz up until this point my drunk ass couldn't get the point you were asking.

The only thing I'd like is for all these requests from content creators to be more open, so that forum users can see them too. Instead of just getting a closed thread without any explanation. I'm not against a certain delay in asset distribution to give creators a chance to earn money, as this is truly important to many. However, I also understand the dissatisfied users who simply weren't given any explanation, and were simply told, "Wait."

@Kleiner Fair enough sounds reasonable. I respect all creators and encourge people to buy avatars. It just felt unfair to other creators that might also need the money. It currently is not that clear you can even request a wait period anywhere and I think every creator would want this. But I guess it would be to diffucult to manage that for everyone without contact from the creators themselfs.
If they did say we locked this thread because creator X contacted us it would already be so much more clear. Now it feels like they secretly know or are friends with the website admins so they can lock the post -
