What's exactly "polite" here???
-
Hi, not sure if this is the right category to ask (or if it's been asked before), but I've just been unsure as to what's really seen as the "right" thing to do on here, versus what may be seen as rude. I'm really new still and I'm learning by observing... (Which goes very slowly.)
For example: I have a file I downloaded a few days ago, but now I see the DL link is down, would it be better to just share it as a new link while waiting for OP? Or is it better to just mention it in the thread and wait for op to update the link?? I might be massively overthinking this...
Additionally, are there any specific like "rules", written or otherwise, that newbies like us tend to miss? I'm genuinely curious... Any guidance or suggestion would be welcome! Thank you, I'm fuckin' scared shitless as a newbie.

i would say in the thread that the link is down, then wait a few days then if it still isn't back up post it again; Unless the OP took it down for a reason then keep it down
