It is very sad that they cannot be original. They had to steal the likeness of Nintendo Animal Crossing, Sonic and some SCP now.
Can't they make anything unique ?
@Lucian Yep, that's pretty much it.
Also, I know this is the ripperstore forums and whatnot like you said earlier, but I have a few reasons why I've mainly stopped doing what I used to do here despite people asking for things from me still. But besides that, I do still do personal challenges, like proxying different things. I don't do it for any malicious reasons or anything, it's just to test my skills and see how other devs implemented their data handling/encryption, as anything I really get out of it is only purely cosmetic. Am I willing to make a proxy for fish however? Not sure, I'm a busy person, so sure while I whipped up around like 70% of the POC code needed for it in around like 2 hours just for fun, I still have a life, and idk if I personally want to finish it. -
@pwq Ego or not, he's proven he knows what he's talking about. It's not like the game creators have been respectful either. Not to say disrespectful people "deserve" punishment, but nobody is a saint. If Lucian's ripping causes the development to stop, they can't have been a stable dev team either way. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It was indeed poor wording, because what I Wanted to explain was: Anyone who have some basic knowledge could be using this to proxy their patreon list and unlock the stuff for free, so with my help, i can show you how to prevent this, because if i found it, many people can."
I never said "hey look, i found an exploit, i am going to help everyone get free shit."
The owner is french, I am not a native english speaker.
But even someone not smart would read it as me trying to help and not cause damage.How is this threat ? it was literally said in private DM to the 2 devs only.

As someone who has little investment in this beyond appreciating the efforts youve done Lucian for other things. I will say my intial kneejerk reaction to the wording you used was pretty poor. It could be taken by just words as a threat. The problem here is the fact that the nuance of inflection and such is lost in text. Intent Vs Impact often does not land as intended in text. Just offering a third party perspective here.

And it will not cause the development to stop, they made it to the front page of vrchat, and they earn 5k a month with their patreon, while vrchat take 50% earning from all the vrceconomy sales.They just want to play the poor victim so more people support them.
And look at that, the only people who been targeting me are new accounts.
They have no place in this forum, they are only here to be whiteknight and not contribute to anything.I have spent many of my dollar to buy assets that was requested here.
I won't submit to this bullshit of calling me an egocentrically person when i have bent my knee to help people.
I am here to help this community, if it was an ego issue, it would be all about me and what i want isn't ?People use words without knowing the meaning of it.
I go where the people accept my skills, in this case, people welcome me here more than godfall ever welcomed any of their members.And being nice to you because you give them money on their patreon is not genuine. I get nothing here as a return for helping, and the fake point beside my names have no values other than people appreciating what i do for them.

All the people with bought client who rush toward public instance and abuse the dev poor coding skill into wiping people saves.In the other end, there me here, who for now only shared the vrcw file, some spoilers, and still willing to talk with the team behind the game where i would just nuke all my post here if they were willing to work it out together.
it is a misunderstanding, but I was not aware of it until someone here pointed out my bad wording that seemed like a threat, which i realized only a hour ago.
But how can i say that to the dev when they have already put me on the burning stack with no chance to talk to them ?I am only salty for being punished after supporting them with both my skills and my money.
Not because i have an "ego". or whatever people want to call me in here.Again, i never asked to be named anywhere in their credit, or being mentioned, i was contributing my time for free for them, and this is certainly not what someone with a ego would do.

@Lucian Huge apologies if I had worded such like I thought you had ego, let me rephrase it as "Irregardless if you (referring to the member I replied to) believe that Lucian has an ego or not". I personally agree with your actions, and would have done the same in your shoes, if I had the skills of course.
