Didn't think this was true when a friend mentioned it but holy moly OP you're kind of unhinged, and this is coming from someone whose posted and shared many things over the years. Feels kinda shitty when it kinda ruins the experience for others who just wanted to play the game for funsies. Personally don't care for the actual game world myself since I hate stardew valley fishing but I wanted to throw in my two cents on this.
They patched it, but still permanently banned me right after this message.
I have never posted it anywhere, never mentioned it, and yet they treated me like a threat when I was nothing but protecting the game.I am also not responsible for the surge of moded client who are targeting their bad coding that wipe people save, which i could have told them how to secure it but couldn't since i am blocked and banned.
I was also a patreon and a vrceconomy contributor on my main account.
And lastly, they have been banning and blocking anyone who have any opinion about the game that is not praising them like some god or licking their asses.I might be unhinged, but i am not a total retard.

I want to let some people know, who go here privately with friends or what not there's a "spooky" man that can appear, people have shared it on twitter but I decided to look more into the files using this to find its legit.
There's two notes in the world, one at tanglewood and one at Luxian Dunes
These notes are just slender stylization, one saying "hide" and one saying "it follows, can't run"For those wanting to look into it themselves- He is under World Setup -> SpookySighting
He is a quad, just a billboard material flat png. He has at least 13 spawn locations and from my knowledge and at least 3 audio's linked to him one called "scp_spawn" -> "scp_despawn" -> "2025.11.14_FISH_Spooky_0947"
Unconfirmed if these audios work with him, but I can at least maybe verify that the spawn and despawn would be.At this current moment in time, from what I can at least know is that he follows your head input but will disappear. I'm unsure if he jumpscares, I'm unsure on anything else like chance for him to spawn etc as I am not able to access code.
I've attached at least his spawn locations in each area, just wanting to make people aware as this is a world I've been finding really comfortable but knowing this fucker exists is a little upsetting.
Please take all this as gospel, I cannot read the code, I don't know anything else other than he at least exists in world files!

I took a quick glance at the code for Sunman and it appears he has a 1% chance to spawn every 20 minutes. I already closed VS and Unity, and I'm too lazy to open them right now since I have things to do soon, so I'll just leave pseudocode and an explanation for it.Checks if Time.time > lastStoredTime + 1200f (20 minutes), if so, it calls UnityEngine.Random.value to get a value between 0.0 and 1.0, checking if it's equal to or below 0.01 (if 1.0 is 100% and 0.5 is 50%, 0.01 is 1%), and if so, it spawns Sunman along with playing a sound effect.

Devs are trying to push aside the fact that they banned a contributor of THEIR game for reporting an exploit to them. Treat people how you want to be treated lolllll
They're just making it worse by spewing lies and also ignoring the fact of how incompetent they are as well. I hope you're able to get contact with them and make this game more secure :3
Also, the stolen Nintendo assets should NOT simply be pushed aside. That's a way bigger issue here. -

The message from KittehKun is referencing the post I did to them in private.
There was no threats, there was no bad intention.
I just showed them there was a vrcOSC log that caused an error with their code that exposed the datakeys of their patreon list, and told them how to fix it.Instead of reading what I wrote, they seen this as a threat and banned me.
I have never ever mentioned anything about it in their silly discord server.
IF anything, I was translating each UI in Chinese for free, helped them about some public value exploits, and I was willing to work for free under a NDA to help them get better.Many many times I said in their discord i could help them fix the boat issues.
But if anything, their ego was too much to accept external help.
And yet, I have never complained, until they banned me.I am know for ripping world in this forum, though the fishing world was not on my list, until the dev acted like ass toward me.
I don't know why is it so hard to says "thank you for exposing a vulnerability to us" instead of talking shit about me and how i was "threatening" to ruin their stupid patreon list.
But now I do want to, and will unless they reinstate me in their discord and unblock me.
Why the salty attitude ?
We are at ripperstore, the entire point of this site is to rip assets. I don't even need a motive to share assets, that the entire point of this website. -

it's only a matter of time before I expose the entire game code in here, into a working unity project for everyone to use and share.
And my enjoyment out of this is to help people learn how to code, see what NOT to do, and of course, a big middle finger to the dev for lying and talking shit about me in their servers.

@Lucian Yep, that's pretty much it.
Also, I know this is the ripperstore forums and whatnot like you said earlier, but I have a few reasons why I've mainly stopped doing what I used to do here despite people asking for things from me still. But besides that, I do still do personal challenges, like proxying different things. I don't do it for any malicious reasons or anything, it's just to test my skills and see how other devs implemented their data handling/encryption, as anything I really get out of it is only purely cosmetic. Am I willing to make a proxy for fish however? Not sure, I'm a busy person, so sure while I whipped up around like 70% of the POC code needed for it in around like 2 hours just for fun, I still have a life, and idk if I personally want to finish it. -
@pwq Ego or not, he's proven he knows what he's talking about. It's not like the game creators have been respectful either. Not to say disrespectful people "deserve" punishment, but nobody is a saint. If Lucian's ripping causes the development to stop, they can't have been a stable dev team either way. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I never said "hey look, i found an exploit, i am going to help everyone get free shit."
The owner is french, I am not a native english speaker.
But even someone not smart would read it as me trying to help and not cause damage.How is this threat ? it was literally said in private DM to the 2 devs only.

As someone who has little investment in this beyond appreciating the efforts youve done Lucian for other things. I will say my intial kneejerk reaction to the wording you used was pretty poor. It could be taken by just words as a threat. The problem here is the fact that the nuance of inflection and such is lost in text. Intent Vs Impact often does not land as intended in text. Just offering a third party perspective here.

@CA25SAW as my previous message #67, There was no ego.
And it will not cause the development to stop, they made it to the front page of vrchat, and they earn 5k a month with their patreon, while vrchat take 50% earning from all the vrceconomy sales.They just want to play the poor victim so more people support them.
And look at that, the only people who been targeting me are new accounts.
They have no place in this forum, they are only here to be whiteknight and not contribute to anything.I have spent many of my dollar to buy assets that was requested here.
