Is the price an issue, or are other reasons a factor for people here to purchase it (e.g. payment options, different store..)?

@Iskaur People have their own reasons why, but personally to me, I see it as a try-before-you-buy sort of thing. If it's good and if you're going to use it in the long term, then buy it and support the creator, you know?

@picturesque Hard to argue with that... I'd prefer to try things before buying as well, but that's difficult to do with digital content.

I considered making a demo avatar, but that wouldn't let people try it on their own characters, which is what they'd probably want.

@Iskaur Fair Fair, you're right; online isn't a dressing room that you can try it on in, and if you don't like it, just put it back. That's why I feel the Ripperstore fills in that gap, and it's genuinely needed in the VRC community. Sure, some creators get a bit discouraged because they might not make money on some sales if it's on here, but there are some that do their good karma and support the creator after trying it from here. That's what I'm going to be doing with Lume Optics; if I like it in tests, I'm personally purchasing my own copy.

*ps you should follow through with the demo avatar idea, and have the avatar ID posted in the description on booth but it's up to you 😊

So there's some issues with this. It works just fine in principle. But unless you're using Grus/Lapwing/Marycia. Your eyes will not move, even with eye movement turned up inside the descriptor. This is a gimmick made specifically for those models and it sadly doesn't work for other models. Not sure if there's plans to extend this to other models.

https://x.com/ist_vrc/status/1979719991252689344 You can see this Mamehintata here. This person's model's eyes don't move with the eye bones like they're supposed to, so it makes it pointless to use unless you're just wanting a cute eye gimmick.

@Arcanis You need to have MA and make sure that the MA Bone Proxy has the right eyebones in them (If that doesnt work, you can use a parent constraint, but I havent had any problem with it).
The only thing that it doesnt work with is facetracking, cause the avatar uses blendshapes to move the eyes instead of the bones themselves, which is a shame. The shader can still be used tho if you do a rework on the eyes UVs and set the depth scale to 0

@Arcanis It should work on most avatars if you follow the instructions closely, including eye movement. (I don't think many would use it if their eyes stopped moving..)

Like @Nuke said above, some face tracking addons won't work if they move eyes through blendshapes unfortunately, but ones that move eye bones are still supported. I couldn't come up with a straightforward solution for blendshape-based movement that would work across all avatars.

If you're having issues, DM me on Booth and I can offer support.
