Hi, Not sure if this exists, but it’d be awesome if we could mute certain users or words from notifications.

For example, muting stuff like “bump” so you only get notified when someone actually replies, not every single bump post. Bumping is fine, but some people do it like every 10 minutes and it just clogs up your notifications.

Agreed, or supposedly a bump system would be nice...

        I agree.
It's not that I want to block users, but sometimes I get overwhelmed by too many notifications.

If you notice any issues, please let me know via DM or by mentioning me. I’ll update the link as soon as I see it.
Please excuse my imperfect English — I’m still learning.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

I’ve actually been thinking about this myself, so it’s a good point to bring up.

There are basically two ways how we could handle this:

          1. We could just disable bumping completely. It’s not really needed anymore, since you can already sort and filter topics (e.g. by upvotes or recent activity), so bumps don’t really add much other than clutter nowadays.

          2. We could try to filter out “bump” notifications. Technically possible, but kinda messy because people could just write “+1” or something similar instead, which would still trigger notifications and have the same effect.

I’d be interested to hear more input from you and others on this.

In my opinion, completely disabling something is not the best solution. But it would be possible to implement a separate button for bumping a post in the list, and give users settings that would allow them to control whether the topic will be displayed in the list of your notifications after clicking this button, or not.

@BLACK0NYX I agree with this, having a button or something other than spamming the chat with bumps would be nice.

              shhh

              plz bmp!

So basically, a button that bumps/boosts the topic back to the top? And then users could sort it like this:
                Screenshot 2025-09-06 073141.png

It could also be limited to once every hour or so, to prevent constant bumping.

Yes, something like that. And also, provided that the user is tracking the topic, add an option that will disable notifications for him when someone presses the bump button, so that notifications come only about new posts in the topic (optionally only about posts containing a download link, or something useful on the topic).

@BLACK0NYX pressing the bump button would/will not trigger any notification

I'm talking about making it optional. If the user needs it, he will turn on these notifications, if not, he will turn it off for himself.

I personally don't see any benefit in subscribing to bump notifications, as nothing new is being added to the topic itself.

For example, I need to separate, for some posts, which ones to receive such notifications from, and which ones not. One way or another, I can implement it on my side. Whether other people need this option will play a bigger role here.
