This reflects bad onto vrc itself due to Vrchat directly promoting and displaying Torinyan avatars publicly posting on their socials of working with torinyan to get them as the first few in the avatar market initially and feature multiple tori avatars on their site and videos.

Huge creator, Torinyan actually has become quite problematic. Mass banning of popular people in their server, silencing people who speak up about it. and even banning and ostracizing one of their employees.
Currently is extremely hostile and bans for the smallest of actions. and when one of their longest business partners Polybunny. who has been a large contributor of assets and addons for torinyan avatars. had spent over a year of designing and planning a refresh/Update to the Tetsuko avatar, to bring it upto modern ish standards WORKING with torinyan for it. around the release of shoggoth it was retconned because of torinyans "evolving" standards. which was getting more Totalitarian. there is ALOT more to the fckn story which i will link a timeline of events post. They painstakingly gathered references and created a design from scratch. and are in the progress of doing their own Robot avatar, with inspiration from their collaborative work with Torinyan. and they shared it with torinyan before they even announced it in their own server for their 2 year anniversary. which Torinyan immediately decided to take it as a personal slight of the highest order claiming direct Plagerism and using designs. "THERE IS NO COPYRIGHT ON MAKING A SMOOTH BODY ROBOT" and proceeded to ban and remove all polybunny assets and the creators inside their server and have a spy account inside the polybunny server. anyone who has spoken at all in the polybunny server has gotten banned without zero warning. as of 8/17/2025 Torinyan has decided to release a "new" avatar as a direct jab at polybunny for their new avatar.

The community that i know is left in the server are either yes-men or are too scared to bring up their opinion or speak on anything on the premise of getting banned. i might of missed a thing or two. but its all i can handle with how pissed i am.@acervoid i was an early supporter of the person in question who grew in said community the one you are posting that wall of text in support of, i paid them for multiple commissions generously and they always left me with unfinished work that i had to fix, taking a lot longer than if i were to have done the work myself. gave them 100 usd for a simple avatar port something i can do easily they left me with it in a non functional state for actually playing.
tory has been nothing but good to us, the whole gripe about the waiting thing is just idiots who want something free without waiting but think on this she never went after those using her products illegally and even provided up to date content links for all their avatars without ever being a bitch about it.
and no im not some mindless yes man, i call things as I see them. i would be calling tori on shit if I actually felt they deserved it. but as far as i can see they dont. not in this case.... they got seriously threatened by the content license owner cause of someone making clonework of their content without so much as a "can i?" to them before hand which would put their entire shop in danger of closing, someone who might i add was in their server, someone who should of had the common decency to ask rather than just spring it on them last second, doing more than hurting their livelihood and ability to feed themselves and live

last second? they knew for months they were working on an avatar, they shown and asked about what they think of the avatar well before they released ANY statements. and they got no response for 2 days and then immediately was met with full hostility
@acervoid from how it was explained and from what i could gather they stated they were working on an avatar but kept them in the dark about what it was or how it looked. anything past this is hearsay since im not directly involved in said drama, we dont know which side actually is telling the truth. granted i feel like tori is telling the truth on their end but thats just me cause after all why would you risk almost all your income pissing off the IP owner on purpose?

Polybunny has an estabilished a history of poor, half-finished work, and the model they released__ despite whatever claims they've made__ looks too similar in style to Torinyan's Runa and the concept artists artwork.
What Polybunny has done is poorly thought out at best and malicious at worst, and their claims can't be trusted because even if they aren't just trying to cover up malicious intent, it proves incompetence on their part for not ensuring what they were doing wouldn't cause such a problem in the first place. It's unprofessional.
As for Torinyan it's well established they have issues handling excess stress due to a number of reasons, which is why they have what is effectively a communications manager to handle this kind of thing for them. So if anyone is seriously trying to say Torinyan is the problem here you are either bad at making judgments or are attacking them because of some sort of slight or vendetta, which the latter wouldn't surprise me consider how much the vrchat model community likes to spread misinformation about them.

not really a HUGE avi creator, but pretty big in the roblox side of things, poobii. theyre generally over all an asshole to the people around them, and seem to think that harassing minors over things they were groomed into doing is okay. yeah i get it hold them accountable, but christ keep it to dms and leave it be. not to mention they charge a rediculous amount for avatars that have basically nothing on them, and got mad bc ppl are ripping them because they dont wanna pay 60$ for an avatar with like 6 expressions and goloco. theyre overall hella immature too and dont handle drama in their server properly. idk if you wanna say this is problematic but yknow.

@acervoid Yes, I read it and it's omitting important information that changes that context of why many of the things that happened, did.
One: Shoggoth was made specifically as a personal project for Torinyan to relax, and they were not intending to take ANY suggestions about it at all due to being slammed with deconstructive criticism and outright horrible remarks for several of the last models they've made by people who honestly, and this is be generous, are at entitled and rude. This showed up again when people felt entitled to getting a dress for free that wasn't planned to be made to begin with, that some also thought wasn't pretty enough but hey, Torinyan made it quick to appease those that wanted it more SFW but it wasn't ENOUGH. The fact they did end up making the dress at all after all that bullshit was nice of them and added extra body sliders was a bonus. As the ex-community manager Runya had no business basically slapping their employer in the face by criticizing them like that when plenty of models on the market are similar or far worse when they already know WHY the model was being made.
Two: The hate raid thing was another matter, it wasn't just upvoting a suggestion, people were also making remarks outside of that, that with the context I just gave, would not be taken well, at all. Did people have the right to make them? Sure. But did Tori have the right to get upset. Also yes, especially considering why they were making the model in the first place.
Three: Yargon themself claims to want Torinyan to succeed but publicizes what's happening in a negative light instead of reflecting on and even adding why they probably got banned themselves.
The entire thread is just painting a huge target on Torinyans back instead of highlighting faults on both sides which be far more conducive to that single statement "they want Torinyan to succeed" and would have painted everything they said in a better picture, instead of the whole thread just being an attack on Torinyan as a person. So the thread is garbage when you recognize it as being no better than a one-sided hit piece.
Four: The thread also spreads more lies involving the permissions involving the models, no one got permission for jack shit. Unless someone gets absolute proof from the original artist that they had permission to make the model, then they didn't have permission. Burden of proof lies on the one making the claim, if they can't prove it then they can't or should not be making it at all, which makes it essentially a false statement. So no proof of permission, no permission at all.

Also updating the NUEKI situation: She actually doxxed me in one of her TikTok story posts by trying to show the PayPal receipt of her refunding me my $60 and also claimed that I'm trying to falsely paint her as a scammer. There's nothing false about it. She also spam reported my account when I posted the full Discord chat logs in my own video that prove all of her bullshit whereas she was trying to cherry pick my messages in an attempt to blast me on her Discord server. I'm also pretty convinced she's faking her disability as 90% of the videos on her TikTok show her throwing it back and dancing like a stripper with full-body tracking when she's claimed to me in Discord messages that she has Cerebral Palsy and "can't walk very well.". Uh... make that one make sense please?
Now, I understand that Cerebral Palsy can wildly vary from person to person but the fact that she has insanely smooth full-body tracking in all of her videos coupled with the way she's been confirmed to have lied about so many other things already makes me heavily suspicious of her.

@acervoid First off, Polybunny doesn't have real evidence of having permission from NRadiowave or any of the artists they supposedly reference either so, your point is moot. They plagiarized until they can prove otherwise.
And as I mentioned, there are worse models that show more and no one has been banned for them that I know of. What you keep ignoring is it wasn't just one person doing it, it was multiple people. How many people need to bring up the same thing when that's the one thing Tori specifically hates. They take in criticism, they address concerns. They don't appreciate having 5-10 people pestering them all at the same time telling them "hey you should do this thing" or "i don't like this thing" when it's all the same thing.
Imagine being a room with people doing that to you, and being about the work you are doing to pays to keep you alive so you can't stop listening or doing your job. How fucking stressful is that? And then you have someone who you trusted to help you on a project rip the rug out from under you and then it looks like they basically rip off not just your work, but the work of someone else too with their own newly announced project, and you might be responsible for it because of your success.
Are you capable of that kind of awareness? And if you argue 'Well it's the internet". So what? Tori can't just quit or ignore it, they can only do what they did. And if you tell me to pay attention to the other side, the other side is the problem. When I called them entitled I meant Entitled. They don't care about anything but what they want. They don't care about who it hurts or what it comes off across as, and when it bites them back they act all shocked and hurt because there were consequences for their actions. Sure some of them meant well but, unwanted opinions no matter how well intended are still unwanted, and if you keep pestering people you are going to piss them off.

I genuinely thank you for this post because it addresses huge issues that are often ignored.
English is not my native language and it's pretty hard for me to convey some things.People look at the hate Thread they make and take it way too much at face value and ignore everything else around it.
Nothing actually there serves as proof, it's just personal attacks but somehow people point at it like some form of proof.Feel free to ask and I'll try to provide an answer regarding anything to this drama.

Update on the Nueki situation; she doubled down on her bullshit. I made a brief video explaining the situation and my experience, and she hopped into my comments to promptly doxx me by sharing a PayPal receipt with my full legal name on it in a vain attempt to try and prove she's in the right by having refunded my money. While I am glad to have gotten my money back, my experience with her has definitely soured me from commissions. She also fed me novel-length paragraphs of her living situation, disabilities, etc to try and get empathy from me. She also tried to call me a two-faced bitch in my DMs because a now ex-friend of mine went behind my back and shared screenshots of my venting about the whole situation to her. Oh and she tried to call me ableist... girl, I am disabled. I fully empathize with her situation, income, etc but when you give me these novel-length messages they come off as less empathetic and more like making excuses for your lack of professionalism.
The main crux of my issues with her turned out to be her exclusivity clause. When I initially placed the commission I told her I was fine with my model being non-exclusive. However after about three months of very intermittent communication and feeling uneasy/wanting peace of mind I asked if I could have my model be exclusive to me and was more than willing to pay the fee to do so as she had not started working on my commission yet. She reacted with another novel-length message and dropped a bomb on me stating that my model had already been put up for pre-sales and people had already put money down for the model and she didn't want to refund them because it would lose her money and her only source of income has been pay-to-use avatars and she was even considering ceasing commissions because they don't bring her enough money (gee I wonder why?).
I had never been told that she was setting up my model for any sort of sales when I chose to make it non-exclusive initially and have never experienced another creator doing something like this. Because she refused to make it exclusive to me, I was under the assumption that it wouldn't be put up for sale until I received it first but I guess Nueki runs her business differently - though she hilariously claims that several creators on Gumroad/Payhip/etc do similar practices. She has also since claimed that I rudely made a last-minute request when the exact opposite is true. I messaged her politely and stated how "the more I think about it the more I'd prefer my model to be exclusive to me. I'm willing to pay the extra fee." But no, paint me as the rude, entitled bitch I guess.
I hope people rip her models and share them on here because God knows she fucking deserves it.
