It's not a secret you're just ignorant. You simply put a direct link (directly to the mp4 or whatever format) into any video player. You can even steal the links from the "proper" worlds as you call them with VRCX. Start a movie in popcorn palace with VRCX open and it'll show you the link in the log. Copy that into any video player in any world and the movie will play.

Alternatively use normal movie piracy sites (which is what movie worlds use, again, not a secret) and browser extensions to download embedded videos, plop the download link into video players and it will play.
