@daswdas I have been trying to use asset ripper it just doesn't work. I have read your big post about ripping avatars. I think a lot people just don't know how to help someone on here. Should I ask you like a 100 questions to figure out what you need help with. It's challenging enough to learn unity and blender. I think people on here should say how you can help instead of complaining about no one doing it. I'm trying to find some ripper software that actually works so I can upload this avatar to one person on this website and for me to have the files to make this avatar so much better than it is.

You're exactly right about the caching behavior when EAC is disabled. That's precisely why this "base version" I'm releasing at 50 upvotes will only work for avatars you own or the public official ones. It strictly requires VRChat to be launched with EAC disabled.As for your method, hooking CreateCached_Injected to null the key is a classic way to stop the encryption from happening. But my tool takes a different route. Instead of preventing the cache encryption from the start, I hook directly into... well, let's just say I dynamically dump the live keys straight from memory as the game naturally decrypts the blocks.
I'm still holding onto the advanced version that safely extracts keys while the game is running normally with EAC fully loaded. I want to see the feedback on the base version first before deciding if I'll ever release the full bypass.
Let's hit that 50 upvotes goal first and I'll drop the base version
@daswdas wait so ur telling me that the only avatars the program you released gets are the public ones found in (insert drive name):\Steam\steamapps\common\VRChat\VRChat_Data\StreamingAssets\Avatars that are unencrypted, and your own avatars which you can get your encryption key from the json of vrcx

@B_Bread1 you run vrchat.exe from the vrchat folder, that launches vrchat with eac disabled

@Alisan I think thatβll probably get fucked up.
I remember seeing a post on Twitter a while ago where someone said they got a three-day temporary ban on both their main and alt accounts from the game moderators because of a content warning. They might have fairly detailed user info, so itβs probably safer to be careful.

Q: Can this be used to decrypt a deleted avatar if I still have it in my cache? (like how Cache Scanner worked before)
or is this something completely unrelated to that..? (I'm trying to keep up. forgive me for being a little on the slower end.)

biggest trojan psyop ever, buddy just released a compiled flagged .exe file just to "decrypt" already decrypted avatars and people be falling for it lmao.
