Hotswapping Worlds 2025 - Is it still possible?

As a person who used to do stuff like this, no it's not possible anymore, that is unless you have an existing .vrcw (prior to the security update which encrypted every vrca and vrcw in vrchat cache). in which case it would be unity 2019.3.6f1 (in which case i believe will result in security check fail on avatars, and load loops on worlds)
however if you happen across a world running 2019.4.31f1 (you may still be able to hotswap the world file with the older version of ARC previously (S.A.R.S) I still have a 2019.3.6f1 world hotswapped from a friend (i had permission), since i wanted to keep an older version for myself which they had updated wayyyyy past, and it still works flawlessly. -

I've been wondering about hotswapping worlds.
Everyone who I have asked or spoken too has told me that it is not possible at all anymore, due to various checks put in place by VRChat.However, from what I have seen, nobody has attempted to circumvent these checks yet.
The current checks VRChat has in place to prevent hotswapping are:
Hash checks
World ID checks
Unity version checks
Possibly moreOn top of this, multiple people have said that it is way easier to rip and repair worlds instead. However, I am dealing with worlds that are 100% comprised of custom shaders, and it would be way easier in my instance to direct upload these worlds back to VRChat, rather than dealing with fixing every shader.
If theoretically, through editing the assetbundle (which is possible while still maintaining integrity), we could circumvent all of these, would hotswapping worlds become possible again? Has anyone tried this already?
