Is ripping an avatar still possible Jul 2025

I'm posting to ask for any help of ripping a public avatar.
The thing is, an avatar made by Komado that I like was discontinued and 404-ed on booth.pm long ago. I believe rip the official sample avatar is the only way to preserve this character
According to this thread: "Re: So my account is gone.." which provided a way to rip cache. But I'm not sure if this still working. I've heard that VRChat had pushed an update to apply encryption on cache. Will there be any other ways to rip an avatar?
Any help or guidance is appreciated!

i could try? for obvious reasons i can not tell someone HOW to rip an avatar/world. since the more people who know the more likely it is to get patched
