@Axalara79 They're conveniently ignoring that nradiowave also disapproves of their design. They latch onto what's convenient and ignore the main issues:
- They kept the Avatar deliberately secret from us, despite me asking for it for months (for a reason)
- Both artists, Nradiowave and Koi, disapprove of their design because they consider it plagiarism
To point 1:
They talk about professional courtesy and how they contacted me prior, yes they waited for me to go on vacation, send me a message and then not even 15 hours later they suddenly announced their product (without me being able to even respond to it. They felt the need to mention this specifically because they know what they do is just a bootleg of our design and just wanted to cover their asses with "oh but we contacted them".
You do NOT make a product for half a year, know that you require to message me about a design that closely resembles ours and then do it less than 24 hours prior to announcing it. You do this during concepting, this is a step that should have happened 4-5 months ago.
To point 2:
Again, the two original designers of Runa consider it a copy and having 30 half-assed responses from their community go "ackchually you didn't copyright it" is just fucking stupid. Their defense lies in the fact that we did in fact not Copyright a design, great. I dare you to cut out the head from their Avatar and tell me it doesn't look like some Runa edit with random Booth head added on top.
Ask yourself why we planned a huge collab with them and suddenly cancelled it. Ask yourself why we promoted them in our community and let them advertise without any issues, for literal years. If they actually took a second to communicate with us about their design choices, this situation could be avoided.
Remember that we PAY the artists when we use their designs, because they contribute to the success by a huge margin with their designs. We buy the rights for a character, we give the artist a sum that they are happy with for their work and then we even give them a % cut of the sales.
Sorry but the absolute level of disrespect you need to bring to the table, to AVOID paying the artists is insane. How anyone can defend behaviour like this is beyond me and I will not act "calm" about what they are doing.I'd like to point out that Nradiowave specifically changed his stance on monetizing his designs a long time ago. He EXPLICITLY forbids commercial sales of his designs. So to heavily reference his design, not even contact him, to me that is literal theft of someones design.

At this point i am going to refrain from buying anything for any of these avi's for quite a while till everything is aired out. i was tempted to buy shoggoth, but not so much now. I think that money can go into Uruki.

@titanwillfall10 Polybunny announced they were releasing a model that looks like a ripoff of Runa and infringes on the original artists work, no matter what their claims are on how it started and their work process, it's what it came out to be in the end. In addition they were working on an update for Tetsuko for Torinyan for the last six? months or so and when they announced the model they dropped it on Torinyan, from what I understand, unfinished with improper testing being done on the materials so it had some pretty bad lighting problems.
Torinyan took it badly and had every right to, and so in the end I guess they released a model that looks close to the one Polybunny has.
@lovenightsky is just being rude. Why don't you leak Polybunny's model too since it's basically the same model when it gets released?

i also dont think you need permission to make a robot girl, yes they look similar but tori basically took the most simplistic design and called it his already, its outdated and he isnt bothering to change his head design so there needs to be new products. i bet if you put all his "una" avis next to eachother including mori and ruruh you couldnt tell me what model is what.

I mean who cares the heads look similar, all models have similar heads. Every eboy or egirl model, all booth models, all furry models. In the end they all end up having somewhat similar heads to others of their style and type. If you want unique go make your own damn model

This is a board for archiving links to Runa Assets, not for discussing discourse surrounding the model creator or subsidiary asset creators.
The 2-4 week moratorium was made with respect with the creators in order for them to amass money upon first sales, and in return we get a consistently updated link to the respective asset. Whether this is followed is ultimately up to the users on this forum as I have no control over the comments nor can I delete any posts made.
Our relationship with Torinyan's Community Manager, @C0-Eve, has been very cordial thus far. Most of the official models and assets have been provided by them thanks to our efforts in following the agreed moratorium. This is the reason why I would continue to encourage this practice, as it helps the forum have updated links for everyone without anyone of us having to pay for it.
In regards to Polybunny, there have been no contact or agreements with them and every attempt to archive links to their assets have been rebuffed with the links being taken down in under a day. We have no incentive to give a moratorium for them and this will remain so unless contact is made.
Despite this, I do not ignore smaller creators. Numeri (Formerly RunaXR, AromaXR, and @PhoenixAceVFX), has made contact me and requested me to take all links to their assets down in which I agreed to do. In return, they have kept me updated with any discount codes that are currently active on their stores. This is done due to me not wanting to deal with DMCA takedowns and also the further encourage smaller creators to continue creating assets for Runa while respecting their wishes.
I originally created this forum to organize all the scattered links and forums that held Runa related assets. Now it's the most viewed forum on the site sitting at 252k views. I'll never share links myself and I'll only archive links that others have provided. If any creator of these assets wishes me to take down the links, then I will do so. However, if no contact has been made, then nothing will be done. Understand, however, that I have no power over the links already shared in the comments. My main goal is to have a convenient way for people to access archived links in an organized fashion, especially if said assets are no longer available for purchase. Anything that jeopardizes our cordial relationships with creators and access to updated links will be frowned upon. Sharing Nuna early is notably not an issue since it so happens that it's a joke avatar and has been helpfully provided by @C0-Eve.
