    hello i have downloaded asset ripper and have extracted the file but i dont know where to go from there can some one explain

      it's quite simple, you go to the vrchat cache files, you open the folder of the element you wish to recover (the folder will be created when you have completely loaded the desired element, so note carefully the moment when this was the case to have an indication of when you will have to recover it), you copy the data file and put it aside for later, you then open the folder where asset ripper is installed and you just drag the data file on top, asset ripper will open automatically, it will open for you you will recover the desired element and create a folder just below the application, all you have to do is rename the folder ^^
      ps: some elements cannot be recovered because they will be protected, for the others, they will be broken, you will have to repair it yourself or find someone who can do it 😉 @blasteblade

        @lacutie Hey, i know this is old but ive been using it (even with help) and for some reason now it only saves some files, any idea why? The ones i got are EditorSettings, Font, Mesh, Shader and Texture 2D but all prefabs and more are missing

          because either there is total protection, and also because when you rip an avatar, it ends up broken and certain elements may not be taken into account, and I'm sorry for you about that, but we can't do much in this kind of situation except to see to replace the elements by the same one if you are lucky enough to have the model, or by something completely different ^^ @Nova1337

            @lacutie I tried with multiple models so it might just be whatever ripper im using but thank you, ill keep trying
