Unity Help

I have some particular issues, let's say several but approximately the same. The tail of my avatar is not as fluffy in-game as it is in Unity, the transparency of the outfits doesn't work, and the colors also change in-game. I can't figure it out.

I can possibly help! Are you selecting the correct types? Like for the transparent dress, you have the shader on transparent? I think the tail would be alpha clip.. and so on. Do you have any sort of in game graphics restrictions applied in VRC? What shader package(s) do you have imported?
whatever SDK you're using is it up to date?
Do you have everything anchored to the same bone in your armature? (either hip or chest I usually do)
Also are you trying to upload this one as PC only or are you also going through an android build for Quest? -
@puppyplatter
I normally have everything right, and that's why I don't understand. The shaders are correct, NORMALLY...
I don't have any restrictions in VRChat...
And it's the same for everything, but especially why it works fine in Unity and not in VRChat. It's like it limits the 'particles' or anything that might affect performance. -
@babyMeiMei I totally understand! Yaa, even tho it looks perfectly fine in unity, there is something during the build/uploading process that is breaking these specific materials and altering them. It looks as if they are being uploaded as a standard material type instead. Like whatever shader package you have imported and applied to the clothing and tail just gets yeeted out of existence upon uploading to game.
Well, I ask what shaders you're using because it can help determine a few different things here. Just lmk! -
@puppyplatter I use LilToon
-
@babyMeiMei only one import of it right? sometimes if you already have it in your project to start, and it gets imported again through another package it can break things or just not work entirely.
-
@puppyplatter Oh yes yes, I did it like I usually do, I import it once before everything else, but that's it
-
@babyMeiMei hmmmm, are you using unity 2022? and do these items have any material swap options perhaps?
-
I personally still use 2019 when I can, and I never use the fury thing. I do it mostly all manual. I've come across so many problems along the way and there have been times where it takes weeks even months until I end up coming across a fix or solution to a specific problem lol. But this one I just have never heard of. I do know that if you're using the new supported version of unity, there could be a issue with the animations regarding material swaps. Since 2019 uses animations for swapping textures/mats, it could be breaking it all in all. This MIGHT be our answer here!

@puppyplatter Oh god, I'm just too stupid. My shader was just outdated lol, I'm so sorry!!! Thank you so much anyway, you're amazing! I wish you all the happiness in the world!
-
@babyMeiMei XD I should have included asking about the shaders too when I asked if the SDK was up to date, woopsie ^^'
Thats amazing tho! I'm so happy you got it to work properly now.
And AWW tysm <333 you too!!!
