Ngl, these are cute but if you just took the time/effort you could likely acquire the appearances of these models! Nothing more than some shading, body swaps, and editing
-
honestly i would just really want the textures+hair combos, since im terrible at those
-
@L3monSh4rk understandable LOL, texturing is annoying af. these models are hella nice, but they really are pretty re-makeable, esp if know the assets they use. shading is the annoying part LOL
-
@c0tt0nc4ndy true!! ive figured basically everything out but i can NOT for the life of me figure out some textures (esp on hair) and shading
-
@c0tt0nc4ndy yeah no i completely understand where you are coming from but i don't care for the model itself what i want is the materials, face animations, and accesories, hair combos, etc. i already make my own models but i want to be able to make something similar so having a ripped version i can look into what settings they use and how they make it
-
i would love to know the hair on the 5th picture. it's so cute
-
@theyadoreyuki that is so real! For me making materials that doesn't mess up is so hard and face animation. don't get me started on how hard it is haha. and the hair combos. Perfection! i also wanna get some avatars so i can look into settings and specially face animations
-
@boofbug I would have to find the creators some how in a world wearing that avatar to provide an actual link to their avatars. i unfortunately don't have a link to them because most of them don't have their users in their descriptions so i can't determine. i am not sure how people rip or how they find the avatars so that's why i am publicly asking to see if someone can help me out
-
@Cinnam0r0ll i know right! i literally love every single face animation i have tried so many times making something similar but i could never make it look right and expressive! the hairs are always so beautiful too! and the materials they make or have on their avatar makes everything look so clean
-
@theyadoreyuki no yeah!! absolutely, im sorry if I came off hostile! I meant no harm xD
-
@L3monSh4rk They use PCSS (realtime shadows); the shading by itself (excluding shadows) for most of them is standard or even bad for some.
A good reference shading here would be the avatar wearing a Yukata (Twitter3) which managed to create a good shadow gradient with no absurd rim lights without using PCSS, but has some limitation (see the shadows casted on the face).
Also, don't be misled by these; many Twitter VRC pics are edited with filters or color graded and not directly captured in-game, but rather taken in Unity under controlled lighting conditions (e.g., Twitter2, Twitter4).

@c0tt0nc4ndy You're good no worries! they are all very creative creators i am honestly jealous! i want to be able to make my work look like that!
