TODAY I LEARNED (TIL): VRC EDITION
-
Tell us something you learned Today or recently about anything vrchat related.
I'll go first.
TIL how to combine several shapekeys in blender into a new separate shapekey.
It's useful for creating custom facial expressions or body shapes.
rather than having to toggle several individually each time.
this video taught me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYn04mvflmANOW YOUR TURN
it doesn't have to be educational.
could be just interesting, funny or strange etc.

(yes, i wanted to brag a little about learning something simple) -
Well a few days ago I learned how to look a little better on Quest Vrchat with a simple fix to one of the shaders using this video: https://youtu.be/mYzE4do3NWU?si=fnX_Uqy2KvnkrgOp.
I also learned that you can combine a bunch of physbones for better optimization!
-
i'll post a few i find :
-
add --watch-avatars to your steam command
when working on a avatar, wear it in the build test thing
and now, each time you update and build, it'll automatically update in vrc
so no more buggy select thingy -
i discover this shader Warren's fast fur.
seems to provide good fur for really good performance, i have not test it, but there is a free version i you want to test -
if you use any komado avatar (karin, rusk, ect) you can be pretty sure all clothes are interchangeable, to be sure follow this
-
if you use booth avi (idk if it work for gunroad one), please use Modular Avatar for setup clothes, more easy, less crap everywhere
-
when you are building a project, please use at maximum non destructive app, it'll make thing easier for you
-
If you use liltoon and find that your lighting have a problem, right click on your avi -> liltoon-> fix lightning
-
-
I'll tell a bit on what i learned
