A Small Request to the Community ❤️
-
I just wanted to make a small, friendly request to everyone who shares files and assets here on the forum. I hope this comes across in the spirit it’s intended, because I’m not trying to criticize anyone or tell anyone what to do. I’m simply asking that we keep the wider community in mind when sharing assets.
I understand that everyone has their own avatar preferences, and I completely respect that! However, I’ve noticed that when certain assets are shared, people sometimes go through the files and post only the versions for specific avatars, even when the full set appears to be available. This means that those of us who use different avatars are often left out, despite the fact that the files for our avatars may already be included.
When I share an asset, I try to post the entire set for all supported avatars, because I want to give everyone the opportunity to benefit from what’s being shared.
I’ve only been part of this website and community for a short time, I absolutely love the generosity and the love that everyone has shown and love that everyone works together to try and help those who post something that they're looking for and I am so proud to be part of something so amazing. If someone is looking for something I have, I’ll share it. If I don’t have it, I’m often more then willing to purchase it specifically so I can help someone who needs it. I do this because I enjoy contributing to the community and helping others find the assets they’re looking for.
That’s why it can be disappointing when I go looking for something and find that only a handful of avatar versions have been posted, even though the original pack supports many more. I use avatars such as Chiffon, Lime, Plum, Airi, Lazuli, Milfy, Emu, Cazalis, Miriam, Selena, Moe, and others. When the only versions available are for avatars I don’t use, it can feel as though those of us with different preferences have been overlooked.
If the materials, textures, FBX files, and PSD files are already being accessed to prepare a post for one avatar, perhaps the other included versions could be shared alongside it, too. Of course, this is only a request, and I understand that everyone has their own reasons for what they choose to share.
We all have different avatars, different styles, and different preferences, but we’re all here because we enjoy creating, customizing, and finding new things for our avatars. A little extra consideration can make a big difference to someone who has been searching for an asset and discovers that their avatar was included in the original pack all along.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to share files, help others, and contribute to this community. I appreciate the effort that goes into it, and I hope we can continue making this a welcoming place for everyone, regardless of which avatars they use.

The most common reason people don't share every avatar that an outfit supports is because buying the outfit for just the avatar they use can be a lot cheaper, a lot of times it's under half the price of the full set; They're buying it for themselves, and they're generous enough to share it with us here. There are also a few ways to convert an outfit from one avatar to another such as Mochi Fitter, but sometimes it isn't perfect, especially when converting to or from Milltina.
