Question about porting blender models
-
So like, how hard is porting a blender model intended to animation to VRC? Something like a model of FacelessTrigger for example, i wanted to port a Girls Frontline 2 model and since like, i have 0 fucking clue of how hard it is or even how to start doing so i wanted to know if there was someone with genuine experience doing so to give me like a start or just like an honest view of how to do this type of work, in case you are curious i wanted to port Leva but like i just don't know how to start so... Im here asking, thank you in advance

I will guess that at this point all the questions i do post or even when i ask for help are gonna be ignored so... Ill bump this again but honestly i doubt i will again

@nachsuper99-2 all i can say is depending on the model, most cases are very hard, you see the problem most of the time is the fact that the model is made for animation purposes, and unity usually looks for something called a humanoid structure(this just means the bones supposed to be built like a human) if it already like that then you might be able to get away with the model as long as everything in the right place, but most cases they have the model in way were every part of the bone is just there in convience so it much easier to animate it, you have arms that could twist and stretch easily to fit your need to make high quality animation but vrc doesnt need any of that, most of the work comes from ether creating a new bone system yourself, using some sort of autorig device to do the job for you, or have someone else do it for you, the weights has to be good or else your arms and legs might start flying away, a thing most people want on the avatar as well is the ability to blink, and talk, since the model was usually done manually that means it never had blendshape, so you probably have to add all that to the model as well, usually there works arounds but at the end of the day even with a tool its not a easy task, least have to have some blender knowledge to get it works, Also idk if people are ignoring your post just not a lot of people actually know how to port, trust me if they did there would a lot more models on here already, and i been looking at port posts for awhile but this first time i seen it, i believe the posts shuffle around randomly at times
