VRChat Users that use the Spyware Gonso also known as "GonsoLiscenser"

BUMP FOR MORE AWARENESSSSS this needs to be out there more. I've already explained to my partner and friends about how bad this shit is and I pray it spreads further out bc gonso is actually just malicious
@ElectromaVR I agree. I've been telling everyone I know about it and most had no idea, shoot i had no idea.
Jinxxy made a statement recently about DRMS /licensing "tools" (I'm guessing they mean gonso licenser) so, it's getting some attention at least. unfortunately they support DRMs "we don't view these tools as malicious"

@blackviperxvi The creator of jinxxy is a pred (Not to minors) to other adults, and they also all openly accept AI on their platform. I don't think they would ever care about gonso or other scripts like it sadly.

@Hanka oh.. I didn't know that. that's unfortunate.
how are they predatory? Just curious. I had started preferring Jinxxy cus if its search function but didn't know they're cool with ai.if I knew how to program I'd make my own website where ai, gonso and DRMS arent allowed. smh.
-
there is a toggle to stop showing ai content but you have to turn it on everytime you go on the website, i wish it was by default off

@blackviperxvi They were called out for getting people super drunk and trying to force them to do "things". It was explained on a old rolfgator stream a long time ago. Though Its been so long I don't think it really lead to anything, just people in that group don't really fw jinxxy as much.

Not to mention people who buy avatars with Gonso says they can't even upload the avatar and are forced to go to the creators to ask help just for them to shut them down and say they have to pay a 15$ upload fee... like what? Now this isn't all cases but this is what I heard
-
@meowmei ;; i was also working on a server for like.. making avatars to give back to the ripperstore if thats also your thing! id love your help though genuinely
@scenerae can i get a invite too?

I have had it up to fucking here with these slop creators treating people like shit. They farm your personal info because they feel entitled to it, taking your money, banning you, and revoking access without refund because "waaahhh you gave a fake discord! I need to go to the ER for a mental health crisis now!" And some even add you to a blacklist to spread to other creators so they can ALSO rob you of what you've bought just because you don't want to give your discord away to random mentally ill vrchat creators that downloaded 30-40 assets and slapped it together to resell for $50usd. Creators collecting your personal info is a safety risk in of itself.
But there's an even larger safety risk. I've been made aware of the spyware Gonso. It tracks your internet usage, takes note of your IP, Discord ID, VRChat username, and monitors your pc. They hide it into the unity packages so your Windows Defender (or whatever you use) can't flag it as malware or spyware, which it is. This is extremely illegal. If you have an avatar that has gonso in the unity package, delete it immediately. This is extremely unsafe and illegal behavior.
Fuck that avatar, fuck that creator. This is a huge, HUGE safety concern.
According to the Federal Trade Comission:

Just to show how extremely serious this is.

Whenever I see a creator that uses gonso, I will be listing them here. I don't want this to become a witch hunt, so only mention a creator with proof. I will be adding screenshots of the felon-- I mean, creator, in question, the avatar, and the screen that shows the gonso spyware in unity. Do not just say creator names. This is for safety reasons not for drama. I don't care if you think it protects creators from leaking, that is an unimportant issue here. You don't get to install spyware onto people's pcs. So if you come here trying to sympathize with these felons that do this, pre-emptively, just shut up. Whether you're for or against leaking, we should be united in this case against this. This is a larger, massive issue.
And to the creators who use spyware for fucking vrchat, a video game, from the bottom of my heart, fuck you. Your slop is not worth a huge safety risk. In the grand sceme of things, it doesn't matter if your little project got leaked BECAUSE you want to install spyware onto everyone's pcs cus your feewings are hurt. It's massively illegal.
Perhaps you want this list because you don't want to buy from creators that install spyware onto your pc. Definitely don't support them monetarily. Especially when their spyware makes it to where you can't edit the avatar in blender and it's locked to your pc cus it yoinked your IP to monitor you. No avatar is worth this much danger. I'm serious. No avatar, no matter how pretty or cool, is worth your safety.
Here is a testimony of someone talking about the Gonso spyware and creators abusing a "Universal Creator Blacklist." I recommend watching at 1.5 speed. In this video in the first few minutes, they are talking about how they were helping their friend upload an avatar because they had bought an avatar, and didn't know how to upload it, and because of the spyware, they were blacklisted from uploading any avatars they bought in the future and banned from purchasing avatars despite any wrongdoing. They bought the avatars legitimately and yet this creator used spyware to monitor their pc activity. That creator then had them banned from ANOTHER store, having what they bought and revoked. Then a third avatar creator had revoked access from their avatars, which cost them another $300 total loss. Video is 5 mins long at normal speed.

Now I will be beginning the list here of creators that use the gonso spyware.

Question, but is it possible to rip avatars to get around the spyware bs? I will update once I find out this question. I've seen other posts regarding this question as well, so I thought I'd put it out there.
I will be adding users and more evidence as I find it.
Stay safe out there.
@blackviperxvi i gt a quisten if we can all ban together to rip then why dont we band together to sue these ppll using a virus software as a lisence
-
i want everybody to know that me and another person have a server for leaking strawbunnys stuff
@scenerae Can I Get an Invite to the server if possible? I mainly want Akai

@lenkagamine12 I believe people talked about this somewhere, I can't remember where exactly but people don't know if they even can due to location issues, such as differing countries and whatnot.
Till then, I'm not really bothered by the rippers, its a product of shitty people using spyware. As of right now, I'm not really sure what to do about it. All I know is the people who use it are very viscous with spreading people's information.

@lenkagamine12 For any of this to even remotely be admissible in court, every single person testifying would have to have proof, and document. Also I haven't actually checked this myself, but if the people selling models with gonso as a TOS they could pull a move like roblox "Well you knew it had the script, and you bought it anyways". I think most people in here are not going to want to pay court fees, and dox their legal names over this tbh.

Fuck creators who use Gonso and fuck the Gonso developer.
I read the privacy policy and yeah, this shit is weird.
They say it collects your VRChat username, Discord ID, license key, and a device ID. It also says the software does “local-only integrity checks” and can send a flag containing your username, license key, and the reason for the flag back to the creator if suspicious activity is detected.
But what the fuck is the device ID actually identifying? What are these integrity checks even checking? And what exactly counts as a “known exploit platform”? They don't actually explain any of that.
It also says “we do not share your data with third parties,” while saying that certain data can be sent to the creator. That's worded pretty weird. And the whole “we'll notify affected users within 72 hours as required by GDPR” thing isn't accurate as written either.
The TOS has some shit in it too.
It says the license is locked to your VRChat account and device, but doesn't really explain what happens if you replace your PC, change hardware, or reinstall Windows.
They can also revoke your license for “unauthorized use,” but they don't actually define what that means or explain what would be enough for them to decide that you did it.
They also reserve the right to modify or discontinue the package without prior notice, and say that continuing to use it means you accept changes to the TOS.
Then there's the part about not being allowed to modify or interfere with the protection system, which is pretty broad considering the protection system is running on your own machine.
-
i say we fight fire with fire if they can can make a license on owned things couldnt we here on teh store ask teh devolopers of the furom to like make a petent pending for teh ripper furoms meaning technicly weere not doing anything wrong as there licesensse would be null and voide if obtioned through a file on this site thus a loophole of it didnt come from ur iteme it came from a random file i found there for meaning ur tos doasnt apply there for meaning we do wht we want if that makes sense
-
I swear to god, some of these people go way too far to prevent rippers from taking their shit. this is insanely predatory and disgusting.
@PomPoms did u see where some ppl are actouly posting anti ripping software on here and im like man thats the opposite of wht we want here
-
@PomPoms did u see where some ppl are actouly posting anti ripping software on here and im like man thats the opposite of wht we want here
@lenkagamine12 If it’s simply to protect someone’s personal models and original work, I don’t really see an issue with it as long as it isn’t harmful. If you want to use someone else’s work that badly, I think it’s fair to expect some effort to get around their anti ripping measures. As far as I know there are only two genuinely effective anti ripping scripts, and even those have limitations which sucks to upload with. They’ll probably be cracked eventually anyway. With so many people who wanna look like others, I think anyone has every right to protect their work. Now if it’s something like Gonso that goes beyond the basic purpose of protecting content then no I don’t think it should be on here.

@lenkagamine12 lmao
that's so dumb. though I understand why if people would want to use anti-ripping methods that aren't as invasive, I just think it's silly to post it here on the RipperStore. -
this is getting silly there has to be someway to figt this no one is untouchable
